About Me….

Hi, I’m Isabelle. I’m a 30-something from Canada.

My mother swears that I was born with my mouth open, and since my mother isn’t the type to over-exaggerate, I’m assuming it’s probably true even though I can’t actually remember it for myself. What I do know for sure, though, is that I’ve been interested in cooking and eating for as long as I can remember.

Nowadays, I share a robin’s egg blue kitchen in a cozy little house in Toronto’s east end with my better half (known ’round these parts as The Boy) and our two bratty cats. By day I work in the telecom industry, and by night I make messes in the kitchen so that I can document the results here.

In case you haven’t guessed, I like food. I like cooking food, I like eating food, I like writing about food and I like taking photos of food. I talk about food almost non-stop when I’m awake, and I dream about food when I’m asleep. I even collect vintage cookbooks, just so I can read about food, too. Therapy? Screw that, I’ve got a blog!
