I know it looks like things have been a little quiet around here, and I apologize for that.
In reality, it’s quite the opposite of quiet. Behind the scenes, I’ve been frantically working on wrapping up a few different projects, all of which I’ll be sharing with you in due time.
You’ll just have to trust me when I tell you there is LOTS of deliciousness coming your way over the next few weeks.
I also spent last weekend up at beautiful Hockley Valley, learning how to be a better writer, photographer, web developer, brand networker, business owner and recipe developer at the first-ever Food Bloggers of Canada conference. (To those of you who follow me on Twitter or Instagram over the weekend, apologies for the onslaught!)
And if you weren’t following me on Twitter or Instagram, trust me when I tell you that it was easily the best conference I’ve ever attended. In fact, I barely took any photos all weekend because I was too busy soaking in the knowledge imparted by the panels of experts, chatting with other bloggers from all over the country and stuffing my face with delicious food. Those of you who have seen me at events know this is definitely far from the norm for me.
The flipside is that I’ve come home feeling inspired, energized, and armed with a mile-long to-do list of goals for myself and for this blog.
…oh, and this might have come home with me too. (SQUEEEEEE!)
A huge thanks to FBC founders Mardi, Ethan and Melissa for putting together such a great event, to their valiant team of volunteers for helping to make it happen, and for the stellar lineup of sponsors who contributed to the event in a variety of ways.
Don’t worry, we’ll be back to our regular posting schedule in no time. I promise.
